Meeting Minutes May 20, 2019

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:

TEACHERS IN ATTENDANCE:

President Hillery called the meeting to order at 7:05pm. Minutes from the April meeting were reviewed.  Mike Haynes made the motion to accept minutes as written, Tonya Duke seconded, and the motion carried.

The financial report was reviewed by President, Amy Hillery.  Mike Haynes made a motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by Laura Plummer, motion carried. The 2019-2020 budget was presented, Mike Haynes, made a motion to accept the budget as presented, seconded by Tonya Duke, motion carried.

TEACHER REPORTS:

High School Orchestra – Laura Plummer

• Fun run of Hairspray.

• Dane Newberry is leaving to pursue his graduate degree.  Searching for replacement.

• Orchestra concert last Tuesday and went very very well.

Middle School Band & Orchestra – Email

• Spring concerts went well.

• Last elementary tour last week.

High School Band - Alyssa Overmann

• May 9 concert went well. 

• Prepping for graduation and Memorial Day Parade.

• 1-2 camp starts tomorrow for new Freshman and Sophomore.

Committee Reports:

Hospitality -

• Laura, Ruth and Tonya did the cake and punch for concert.

Communications - Mike Haynes

• Nothing for past month.

Technology -

• Nothing to report

Ways and Means - Jamie Pullen

• Dine out at Bluff city Grill 5-9pm, June 6. 10% with flyer. 

Trivia Night – Tonya Duke

• September 20, 2019

Craft Fair -

• December 7 & 8

Dinner Auction - Ed Gray

• Nothing to report

Spring Vendor Fair

• Nothing to report

Q for a Cause

• 3 bands are booked for the event.

• BBQ trucks, vendors

Old Business:

• Executive Board nominations. Vote in May

  • Dawn Humphrey – nomination for Vice President

  • Ruth Waggner – nomination for President

  • Roger Waggner – Technology/Abob.net

  • Tonya Duke – Communications

  • Still looking for Ways & Means, Hospitality

New Business:

Motion to accept the executive board nominations by Jill Mitchell, seconded by Mike Haynes, motion carried.

Next Meeting June 24, 7:00pm, Orchestra Room AHS.
