ABOB Meeting Monday, October 26, 2020 AHS Orchestra Room

   1. Jill Mitchell took minutes. Shared them with Ruth

   2. Jill is taking notes tonight.

3. Treasurer’s Report

   1. Alton Foundation Check $2,000

   2. Motion to accept by Ed

4. Teacher’s Reports

   1. HS Orchestra

      1. Started having 1 hour practices

      2. Will be having a concert this November

         1. Tuesday, November 17th 7pm: parent only

         2. Thursday, November 19th: Symphonic Orchestra: 7pm

         3. Both will be recorded and live streamed on FB

   2. HS Band

      1. Great being in person

      2. Auditions are finishing up

      3. cleaning/organizing all rooms

      4. Tuba shed almost ready

      5. Selling old instruments/percussion hardware

         1. We have 3 sets of old marching battery to sell

      6. Percussion Ensemble

         1. Mondays 3-5pm in band room

         2. Auditions for top ensembles

      7. Metro East Music Celebration

         1. Awesome event

         2. Video will be emailed out to parents/posted on FB

   3. Elementary Orchestra/Band

      1. These will be starting soon

      2. Meeting parents/students at conferences

      3. Zoom meetings for beginning orchestra & band

   4. AMS Orchestra

      1. New technology being looked at to use (Syborg Llama)

         1. Laura will look into this and other ideas as well

      1. Fall pastry

         1. $1,194 thus fall

         2. Ends tomorrow

      2. Olga’s---moved to Spring

      6. Will do another pastry in the spring

      1. Laura called and we are good to carry over the 2021 contract into 2022 if we are unable to hold this event.

      3. Laura and Ed will look into companies to do an auction
